Quick memory tips
Here are some instant memory tips, I will add tips as often as possible.
Remembering to take something with you when you leave home each day:
This could be your sandwiches for lunch, an item you had promised to bring in for a colleague, a letter to mail etc.
Simply place the articles, in full view, near your exit from the house, perhaps by the front door.
Always use the same location, and you will soon remember to check there for things that you must take with you.
Remembering to take pills before meals:
My wife has to take certain pills before her main meal in the evening. The method I have suggested is that
she should imagine that each dinner plate is, in fact, a huge pill that has to be swallowed!
As she dishes up the food on the plates, she should visualise the huge pills, and remember her medication!
The Alphabet - backwards!?
I once taught myself a little rhyme to remember the alphabet in reverse order. This may seem a bit pointless at first,
but it can be useful, and it only takes a few minutes to learn the technique:
- split the letters into groups, and make them rhyme!
- the 2nd line rhymes with the 1st line, the 4th line almost rhymes with the 3rd line
- Try this by reading it aloud - go on!
